Modesty forbids this journalist from even mentioning that he (Mr Graeme Sproule) hit a hole in one on the treacherous 2nd hole (the widowmaker) or that he holed a 30 foot downhill putt to tie up the match on the 18th but pitch and putt was the winner on the day and generation X kept the Y’s from taking over the golfing world.
