  • Clinical staff have $1,500 per annum to spend on professional development and a fully paid study day. 
  • Recharge Day is one paid day per annum where staff can take a day off to recharge and reset, like a mental health day.

Hand Therapist (experienced Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist)

Are you a passionate therapist ready to take the next step in your career — or looking for a workplace that values flexibility, clinical excellence, and a supportive team culture?

SportsCare Canberra is currently recruiting for a Hand Therapist to join our highly experienced team at The Hand Clinic. This role is open to both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, with flexible hours available across our Barton and Mawson locations. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions.

We’re looking for a qualified Hand Therapist or a Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist with clinical experience and a strong interest in hand therapy to become part of our team at Barton and Mawson.  You’ll treat a wide range of upper limb conditions — from post-op rehab and elite sports injuries to musicians’ injuries, cumulative trauma and nerve pathologies — using:

  • Exercise prescription and functional rehab
  • Custom splinting and casting
  • Manual therapy
  • Wound and scar care

 

This role suits someone who:

  • Enjoys sharing knowledge and working collaboratively
  • Has strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
  • Values work-life balance (carer-friendly hours available)
  • Is looking to contribute to a strong, team-based culture

Exercise Physiologist Dickson

An opportunity exists for another Exercise Physiologist at our Dickson Clinic!

Student opportunities

SportsCare accepts student placements from the University of Canberra throughout the year and provides high-value learning opportunities with qualified and experienced professionals. Students have opportunities to work across our clinics for varied and unique experiences, as well as with local and representative teams we support on and off the field with Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, and Sports Trainer services.

SportsCare Canberra has opportunities for Health Professionals to rent a space within our practices and become part of our SportsCare network.
