SportsCare Canberra is excited to share that we have officially moved into our new larger space in Mawson, just around the corner from our original Mawson premises.
If you’ve visited us at Mawson in the past three years, you may be aware that we introduced a new massage therapy service and have grown to three general musculoskeletal physiotherapists and five hand therapists. After 24 years of service from the original space, we had outgrown our space, and it was definitely time to take the leap to a bigger and better clinic.
Now with seven private rooms and the addition of a beautiful large gym, the new space allows us to accommodate our growing team and plans to expand our services even further to include exercise physiology, small group classes and podiatry – watch this space!
One of the key objectives when designing this space was to create a welcoming and warm environment for you all. SportsCare Partner, Louise Roantree, reflected on the importance of providing a safe and accessible space for our clients as well as the SportsCare team.
“There’s been a lot of thought and input into the design of the new Mawson space to create a calm, safe and comfortable clinic. We wanted to focus on providing modern facilities, whilst still being accessible for all our clients.
“This has been a long-term goal of ours and while we faced many challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, the fact that we are able to expand into a bigger space is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, a reflection of the clinic’s leadership, and the ongoing support from our clients. Now that it is finally here, we are extremely proud to bring this vision to life,” Louise said.
Helping clients is the reason why we do what we do. The team is very excited to be in this space to continue providing the best level of care we can for our clients. We are looking forward to continuing to grow the clinic and continue supporting the community, from schools to community groups, and sporting associations to the older population, reaching from Woden to Tuggeranong.
Our new Mawson clinic is located not too far from our previous location – you will find our new clinic next to Woolworths, two doors down from Capital Chemist, and easily accessible with a range of parking nearby. Our new clinic will allow a continuum of care for all clients, ensuring SportsCare is an integral part of their healthcare team either for the management of an acute injury or performance.
We are beyond thankful to our team members and clients who have supported us along the way. Bookings are now available at the new Mawson clinic, so come in and see us soon.
