Samantha O’Neill
Samantha graduated from Brunel University in England with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduating Samantha has worked in a wide range of healthcare settings in both National Health and Private practice in the UK and USA. She has specialised in hand and wrist problems for over 20 years and has a wealth of post graduate training and experience in this field.

Meet Samantha
Samantha began working in the specialist area of hand physiotherapy on her return to the UK from Chicago, USA where she had been leading a team of musculoskeletal physios for over 6 years.
Samantha qualified with the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT) in 2002 and went on to run a busy, specialised clinic in England covering cases including trauma, orthopaedics, paediatrics, rheumatology, chronic pain and post operative reconstructive plastic surgery.
In 2017, Samantha took on the role of Physiotherapy manager and lead hand therapist at a private hospital and continued her postgraduate BAHT training in thermoplastic splinting, wound care, manual therapy, taping, exercise prescription, scar management, swelling treatment, and x-ray interpretation.
Sam’s passion for her work has also involved teaching both to fellow physiotherapists and GPs.
Samantha has moved to Australia to join Sportscare and is excited to be joining their team and becoming an active member of the wider Canberra hand therapy community.
