Cancellation Policy
As a local small business SportsCare Canberra is reliant on appointments for our income. As such, appointment cancellations significantly impact our therapists and our operations. At busy times we may have other clients waiting for appointments. We try to help minimise cancellations by providing appointment reminders via text message or email.
We understand that things can come up at short notice and we always endeavour to accommodate changes or cancellations. The cancellation policy below outlines our approach:
- Cancellation – A cancellation can be made with at least 24 hours notice by contacting our admin team at the clinic where the appointment has been made. This lets us offer the appointment to another client
- Late Cancellation – A cancellation within the 24 hour notice period may attract a cancellation fee of up to the full value of the appointment.
- Non attendance – If no notice of cancellation has been received, a cancellation fee of the full value of the appointment may be charged.
Whilst we do have this policy, in extenuating circumstances payment resulting from this policy may be waived at the discretion of SportsCare staff.

REFERRALS AND REBATES
Do I need a referral?
A referral is not required to access our services, however, we do accept referrals from general practitioners (GPs), specialists and other health care professionals for patients to access rebates or make claims for our services via:
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
- Third-party insurance providers
- Private healthcare providers
- Medicare
